Position : AGM-Product Design and Engineer
Experience: 12-15 years

Qualification: B.Tech / M.Tech in:Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Design/Product Design/Plastics Engineering

Office time: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM (6 days)

- Strong collaboration with international designers and suppliers
Job Description
Product Design & Innovation
- Lead conceptualization and development of toys, ride-ons, and baby mobility products.
- Mould Design & Development Expertise
- Oversee plastic injection mould, blow mould, and metal mould development.
- Engineering & Product Development
- Convert design into engineering drawings and CAD models.
Supervise:
- 3D modelling
- Prototyping
- Pilot production
- Validation testing
- Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with:
- BIS
- EN
- ASTM
- CPSIA
- Global toy safety norms
- Lead safety testing and certification process.
- Build internal product safety framework.
- Work with QA and regulatory teams.
- Cost Optimization & Value Engineering
- Drive Design-to-Cost approach.
- Supplier & Manufacturing Collaboration
Work with:
- Tooling vendors
- Injection moulders
- Assembly partners
- Overseas factories (if applicable)
- Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
- Own product from idea launch scale refresh phase-out.
Education
- B.Tech / M.Tech in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Design
- Product Design
- Plastics Engineering
Experience
- 12 15+ years in:
- Toys / Consumer durable products
- Plastic product design
- Tooling & mould development
- Experience working with international design agencies preferred.
- Hands-on experience in mass manufacturing.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of:
- Injection moulding
- Blow moulding
- Rotational moulding (preferred)
- Assembly processes
- CAD tools:
- SolidWorks / Creo / CATIA
- Prototyping methods
