We are looking for a highly analytical and business-oriented
Data Product Manager
to join our growing SaaS organization. In this role, you will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of data-driven products and platform capabilities that power customer insights, operational efficiency, and business growth.
The ideal candidate combines strong product thinking with data fluency, stakeholder management, and the ability to work closely with engineering, analytics, and business teams to build scalable SaaS data solutions.
Responsibilities
Data Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and drive the roadmap for data products, analytics capabilities, and platform enhancements aligned with business goals.
- Identify opportunities to leverage data for improving customer experience, product adoption, retention, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct market and competitor research to shape data-led product strategies.
Data-Driven Product Development
- Translate business problems into scalable data product solutions, dashboards, reporting layers, and actionable insights.
- Define product requirements, KPIs, data models, and success metrics for data initiatives.
- Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer impact, analytics, and business value.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Business, and Customer Success teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
- Work with technical teams to define scalable architectures, data pipelines, and implementation plans.
- Align stakeholders around product vision, delivery timelines, and measurable outcomes.
Customer & Business Insights
- Understand customer pain points and business workflows through direct interactions and usage analysis.
- Drive product decisions using behavioral data, experimentation, and performance metrics.
- Develop actionable insights from large datasets to support strategic initiatives.
Product Execution & Delivery
- Own end-to-end execution of data product initiatives from discovery to launch.
- Create wireframes, workflows, and requirement documents to support development teams.
- Support sprint planning, backlog prioritization, estimation, and agile delivery processes.
Required Skills
Technical & Data Skills
- Strong understanding of data products, analytics platforms, and SaaS business models.
- Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python/R for data analysis.
- Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar.
- Understanding of data warehousing, ETL pipelines, APIs, and cloud-based data ecosystems.
Analytical Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities.
- Ability to interpret large datasets and convert findings into actionable business recommendations.
- Experience defining KPIs, product metrics, and dashboards.
Product & Communication Skills
- Strong product management fundamentals with experience in roadmap planning and stakeholder management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in B2B SaaS or platform-based products.
- Familiarity with AI/ML-driven analytics or recommendation systems.
- Understanding of customer lifecycle metrics, retention analytics, and product usage tracking.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to UX principles and data visualization best practices.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Analytics, or a related field.
Experience
- 4–7 years of experience in Product Management, Data Products, Analytics, or related roles.
- Prior experience working with data-heavy SaaS platforms or analytics-driven products is preferred.
- Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and agile execution frameworks.
