Role Summary
We are seeking a creative and student-focused Graphics & Animation Faculty with UI/UX knowledge to train learners in design fundamentals, digital tools, motion/animation basics, and user-centric design practices. The role combines classroom teaching, practical lab guidance, portfolio mentoring, and student progress support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver sessions on Graphic Design fundamentals (color, typography, layout, branding basics, design principles).
- Teach digital design tools and workflows for print and digital creatives.
- Train students in animation/motion basics (2D animation principles, storyboarding, timing, transitions; as per curriculum).
- Teach UI/UX basics: user research fundamentals, personas, user flows, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, usability basics, design systems fundamentals.
- Guide students on projects and portfolios: posters, social media creatives, brand kits, UI case studies, prototypes, short animations.
- Conduct/assist reviews, assessments, and feedback sessions; track student progress and learning outcomes.
- Prepare/update lesson plans, assignments, and sample files aligned to the center’s curriculum.
- Mentor students for career readiness (portfolio presentation, interview prep, industry expectations).
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and ability to explain concepts clearly to beginners.
- Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
- Hands-on capability with common tools (any strong mix):
- Graphic Design: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- UI/UX: Figma (preferred), Adobe XD (optional)
- Animation/Motion: After Effects (preferred), Premiere Pro (optional)
- Portfolio demonstrating design quality and process (including at least 1–2 UI/UX case studies preferred).
- Local language preferred: Kannada / Telugu / Malayalam.
Preferred (Good to Have)
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS fundamentals (for UI handoff awareness).
- Understanding of accessibility basics (contrast, typography, UX usability).
- Any teaching/training/mentoring experience (including internships or workshops).
- Familiarity with branding and social media content trends.
