Job Summary
The Product Manager will lead the strategy, development, and optimization of healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and medical-coding software products. This is a highly visible, hands-on role operating at the intersection of operations, technology development, product design, user research, and user experience. The successful candidate will drive the digital transformation agenda from discovery and exploration through implementation, execution, and ongoing Strategy & Execution :
- Act as the primary leader for technology products, owning the full product lifecycle from problem discovery and user research through ideation, development, measurement, and continuous improvement.
- Translate operational pain points and user insights into clear product strategy, roadmaps, and outcome-driven initiatives.
Product Design & User Research
- Lead or partner closely on user research activities including stakeholder interviews, workflow shadowing, usability testing, and feedback synthesis.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to shape intuitive, workflow-aware product experiences aligned with real-world RCM operations.
- Define and validate user personas, journey maps, and service blueprints where appropriate.
- Ensure product decisions are grounded in evidence from user behavior, not assumptions.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with and influence leaders across operations, engineering, clinical, and business units.
- Manage expectations through structured communication regarding product needs, roadmaps, trade-offs, and organizational Liaison :
- Serve as the bridge between business/client teams and development teams to ensure a shared understanding of problems, requirements, and success criteria.
- Resolve gaps in functional understanding by continuously aligning on intent, constraints, and outcomes.
Documentation & Collateral
- Create and maintain product documentation including project status reports, milestones, training guides, user manuals, and release notes.
- Produce clear system flow diagrams, functional specifications, and requirement documentation traceable to user and business needs.
Required Qualifications &
- 8-10 years of overall professional experience, with at least 2-3 years in a Product Manager or Product Owner role.
Domain Expertise
- Mandatory experience in US Healthcare; Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience strongly preferred.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Design, or a related field.
Product Design & Research Skills
- Demonstrated experience incorporating user research, workflow analysis, and usability feedback into product decisions.
- Ability to reason about interaction design, cognitive load, and operational usability even without being a hands-on designer.
Technical Familiarity
- Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, EHR systems, and US healthcare operational workflows.
Methodology
- Experience with product management, discovery, and design frameworks of any type (Agile, Lean, Dual-Track Agile, Design Thinking, etc.).
Soft Skills
- Proven ability to deliver products with measurable business and operational impact.
- Strong communication skills and comfort operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, with demonstrated ability to align operations, engineering, design, clinical, and business stakeholders around shared goals, clear ownership, and outcome-based Skills :
- Product Management or Product Design certification.
- Strong presentation skills for articulating product vision, research findings, and system approaches to senior leadership.
- Prior experience working with design systems, UX teams, or service design artifacts in operationally complex environments.
