The Virtual Expert Platform (VEP) team sits at the center of Intuit’s services ecosystem and powers how customers

connect with expert guidance across our products. It enables some of Intuit’s most significant and fast-growing service

experiences, including QuickBooks Live and TurboTax Live, while advancing AI-powered customer success and sales

capabilities. VEP builds configurable, reusable capabilities that connect customers and businesses to expertise,

whether self-guided, AI-assisted, or HI-assisted.

We are seeking a Design Manager to elevate and scale the craft of our platform experiences. This leader will galvanize

a world-class design team around a clear creative vision, build a culture of excellence and cohesion, and raise the bar

for expressive, intuitive, and distinctly Intuit experiences across the platform.

Intuit has been design driven since its inception. Design for Delight (D4D) is foundational to how we identify

opportunities and iterate toward breakthrough solutions. As a modern design leader, you are both a people manager

and a hands-on creative director who is deeply invested in fit, finish, interaction quality, and emotional resonance. You

will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Design Technology to translate forward-looking design

principles, including agentic AI frameworks, into scalable and customer-facing experiences that feel natural, helpful,

and human.

This role is about more than delivery. It is about defining what great looks like for platform design at Intuit and building

the team, systems, and culture that consistently achieve it.

Responsibilities

• Elevate the craft and cohesion of our platform experiences so they feel intuitive, expressive, and distinctly Intuit.
• Define and uphold high standards across visual, interaction, motion, and AI-integrated design. Lead through hands-on creative direction and deep engagement in the work.
• Drive initiatives of significant scope and complexity, shaping vision, strategy, and execution across products and services.
• Build and develop a high-performing design team aligned around a shared mission and a culture of excellence, critique, and continuous improvement.
• Champion outside-in, customer-centered thinking from early exploration through refinement of every touchpoint, balancing craft, scalability, and business outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations to translate forward-looking design principles into scalable, customer-facing solutions.
• Influence cross-functional leaders and partners in a matrixed environment, driving bold decisions that elevate quality and platform coherence.
• Thoughtfully integrate agentic AI into product experiences, defining how intelligent systems show up in ways that feel natural, helpful, and human.

Qualifications

• You are a hands-on design leader with 12 or more years of product design experience and at least 5 years leading and developing teams.
• You care deeply about fit, finish, expressive quality, and the emotional resonance of product experiences.
• Fluent across brand, interaction, visual, and motion design, you understand how systems and details combine to create cohesive experiences at scale.
• You have a track record of delivering high-quality, high-impact design solutions in complex, cross-functional environments.
• You bring strong communication and influence skills, with experience partnering across senior leadership and multiple stakeholders.
• You are energized by shaping how AI feels in product experiences, and you bring thoughtful perspective on integrating intelligent systems into human-centered design.
• You balance ambition with pragmatism, raising the bar while maintaining velocity in fast-paced, data-informed organizations.
• You are a coach who models excellence, builds capability in others, and fosters a culture of craft.
• A portfolio demonstrating relevant case studies and evidence of craft excellence is required.
