We are seeking a highly skilled

Hardware Design Engineer (Electrical)

to lead the electrical hardware design for our two-wheeler vehicles, from concept through certification and market launch. The role involves end-to-end responsibility for all electrical and electronic subsystems, including the vehicle control unit (VCU), power distribution systems, charging and lighting systems, and wiring harnesses. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, hands-on design experience, and a strong understanding of automotive standards to deliver reliable, cost-efficient, and certified hardware solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of electrical and electronic subsystems for two-wheeler vehicles.
  • Design, review, and manage schematics, PCB layouts, and component selection for all vehicle electronics.
  • Develop and optimize complete wiring harnesses from concept to production-ready designs.
  • Validate hardware designs through simulations, prototyping, and testing to ensure reliability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineering to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
  • Optimize hardware designs for cost, size, weight, and manufacturability.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant automotive safety, quality, and certification standards.
  • Support product launch activities including troubleshooting, documentation, and technical guidance for manufacturing and field teams.
Required Qualifications and Skills:

·       Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

·       Strong expertise in electrical hardware design for two-wheeler or automotive applications.

·       Proficiency in CAN bus systems, communication protocols, and automotive electronics architectures.

·       In-depth knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, including:

o  Vehicle Control Units (VCU)

o  Power distribution systems

o  Charging systems

o  Lighting systems

o  Wiring harness and harness design

·       Experience in electronics product design, including hardware development and hardware design.

·       Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or equivalent.

·       Hands-on experience with electrical simulations, testing, debugging, and validation processes.

·       Strong understanding of automotive standards and certifications (ISO, IEC, UNECE, etc.).

·       Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.

·       Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
