Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Research & Reference Study
- Conduct research on product designs, materials, and mechanisms.
- Study reference models, market trends, and competitor products.
- Identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.
2. Mechanism Development
- Design and develop functional mechanisms as per product requirements.
- Ensure mechanisms are smooth in operation, durable, and safe.
- Coordinate with the production team during prototype development.
3. Load & Weight Calculations
- Perform load and weight calculations to ensure structural safety.
- Validate designs for stability, strength, and long-term use.
- Maintain calculation records for future reference.
4. Review, Submission & Rework
- Submit completed designs and mechanisms for internal review.
- Incorporate feedback and perform rework when required.
- Ensure final designs meet management and production approval.
5. Documentation
- Prepare and maintain complete documentation including:
- Design drawings
- Technical specifications
- Calculation sheets
- Revision history
- Ensure proper version control of documents.
6. Cross-Department Technical Support
- Provide technical clarifications to:
- Production Department (manufacturing feasibility, assembly support)
- Sales Department (customer queries, technical explanations)
- Support the sales team with technical inputs during customer discussions when required.
7. Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all R&D activities comply with company standards and safety norms.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of designs and technical data.
