The Lead UI/UX Designer is responsible for designing seamless, intuitive, and visually appealing user experiences across digital products. This role combines user-centered thinking, strong aesthetic judgment, and proficiency in modern design tools to create impactful digital interfaces. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated design portfolio, empathy for users, and collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality designs that meet both user and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
User-Centered Design
- Conduct user research and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Create personas, journey maps, user flows, and wireframes.
- Prioritize accessibility, usability, and clarity in design decisions.
Visual & Interaction Design
- Develop high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes.
- Ensure alignment with brand guidelines and product requirements.
- Maintain design consistency across platforms and touchpoints.
Design Collaboration
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders.
- Participate in sprint planning and design handoffs.
- Incorporate technical constraints into design iterations.
Design Systems & Documentation
- Develop and maintain design systems, UI kits, and component libraries.
- Document design decisions, usability testing, and iterations.
Public Design Presence
- Maintain and update a design portfolio on platforms like Behance or Dribbble.
- Share insights or case studies with the design community.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer with a proven portfolio of web and mobile design projects.
- Strong background in user research, prototyping, and interface design.
- Familiarity with usability testing, analytics, and data-driven design.
- Demonstrated public presence (e.g., Behance, Dribbble, Medium) is a plus.
