Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented

Mechanical Design Engineer

with over 2 years of experience, specializing in

drone design

,

plastic and mechanical parts

,

rapid prototyping

, and

composite materials

. The ideal candidate will support the design and development of innovative drone systems and mechanical components from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the

design and development of drone platforms

including airframe structures, enclosures, and mechanical assemblies.

• Create detailed

3D CAD models and 2D drawings

for plastic and mechanical parts, ensuring manufacturability and assembly efficiency.

• Select and implement appropriate

materials

, including

thermoplastics

and

composites

, based on functional requirements.

• Support

rapid prototyping

efforts using technologies like 3D printing, laser cutting, and CNC machining.

• Assist in the

testing and validation

of prototypes, and iterate designs based on feedback and performance data.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electronics, firmware, and production to ensure smooth integration.
• Maintain technical documentation, BOMs, and version control of design files.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aeronautical, or a related field.
• Minimum

2 years of hands-on experience

in mechanical product design, preferably in drone or consumer electronics domains.

• Proficient in

CAD tools

such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360 (Preferred), or similar.

• Experience designing for

plastic injection moulding

,

3D printing

, and

composite fabrication

.

• Familiarity with

material selection

for performance, durability, and cost optimization.

• Basic knowledge of

aerodynamics

,

mechanical systems

, and

DFM (Design for Manufacturing)

principles.

Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory):

• Experience in drone subsystem design (e.g., gimbals, landing gear, enclosures).
• Exposure to

carbon fiber

or

glass fiber

techniques.

• Familiarity with

structural analysis tools

(FEA) and

thermal considerations

• Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to prototyping and testing.
