Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Hyderabad for a Product Design Engineer. The position involves designing and developing both mechanical and medical products, with a focus on orthopedic medical devices. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and refining product designs, utilizing Solid works (CAD) software, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in the product development lifecycle to ensure innovation and high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in product design, product development, or R&D (medical device industry experience is a plus).
- Draw, update, and maintain product designs and engineering documentation.
- Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Ensure designs comply with manufacturing feasibility, technical standards, and customer requirements.
- Deliver projects within defined budget and timelines.
- Proficient in SolidWorks with advanced modeling, surface modeling, and ability to handle complex assemblies.
- Perform engineering analyses, including tolerance stack-ups and feasibility studies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech / B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Design Engineering and Product Design
- Expertise in Mechanical Engineering principles
- Knowledge of Product Development processes, including prototyping and testing
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate technical concepts effectively
- Experience in the medical devices sector or relevant industry is preferred
