Product Manager Mobile App & Website (Hospital & Lab)
Role Overview
The Product Manager Mobile App & Website will own and drive the end-to-end digital product strategy for hospital and laboratory platforms across mobile applications (iOS & Android) and web experiences.
This role is responsible for building patient-centric, doctor-friendly, and operationally efficient digital journeys that improve patient acquisition, engagement, clinical coordination, operational efficiency, and revenue growth.
The ideal candidate combines strong product thinking, healthcare domain understanding, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional leadership to deliver scalable, secure, and high-impact digital healthcare products.
Key Responsibilities
1. Mobile & Web Product Ownership
- Own the complete product lifecycle for hospital and lab digital platforms—from discovery, roadmap creation, development, launch, and continuous optimization.
- Define, prioritize, and deliver features across:
- Patient onboarding & registration
- OPD/IPD appointment booking
- Doctor discovery & profiles
- Slot management & scheduling
- Diagnostics & lab test bookings
- Teleconsultation & follow-ups
- Digital payments & invoices
- Reports access & downloads
- Post-care engagement & reminders
- Ensure consistent UX/UI and functional parity across mobile apps and web platforms.
- Maintain clinical accuracy, brand consistency, and regulatory alignment across all digital touchpoints.
- Act as the final decision-maker for product trade-offs balancing business goals, patient needs, clinical workflows, and compliance requirements.
2. Data-Driven Product & Growth Optimization
- Define and track product success metrics including:
- DAU / MAU
- Lead-to-appointment conversion rate
- Booking success & drop-off rates
- App uninstall rate & crash-free sessions
- Bounce rate, session duration, and repeat usage
- Use analytics tools (GA, Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.) to:
- Identify funnel leakages and UX friction points
- Analyze patient and doctor behavior patterns
- Run A/B tests and experiments across onboarding, booking, checkout, reports access, and engagement flows.
- Convert insights into clear product hypotheses and prioritized enhancements aligned with hospital revenue, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
3. Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution
- Engineering & architecture teams
- UI/UX designers
- QA & release teams
- Marketing & growth teams
- CRM, operations, and clinical stakeholders
- Drive Agile/Scrum processes, including:
- Sprint planning and backlog grooming
- Daily stand-ups and sprint reviews
- Retrospectives and release planning
- Product Requirement Documents (PRDs)
- User stories and acceptance criteria
- Wireframes and journey flows
- Release notes and product documentation
- Ensure on-time, high-quality delivery with focus on performance, scalability, and system reliability.
4. Stakeholder, User & Clinical Collaboration
- Act as the voice of patients, doctors, and hospital operations during product planning and execution.
- Conduct:
- User interviews and usability testing
- NPS and patient feedback analysis
- Workshops with doctors, front-desk, and care teams
- Collaborate with customer support and care coordinators to:
- Identify recurring issues
- Improve self-service journeys
- Reduce manual dependency
- Present product performance, insights, and roadmaps to senior leadership and business stakeholders.
5. Healthcare Compliance, Reliability & Scalability
- Healthcare data privacy standards
- Patient consent frameworks
- HIPAA-like practices and local healthcare regulations
- Partner with tech teams to:.
- Improve app stability, load time, and uptime
- Reduce crashes and technical debt
- Design scalable solutions supporting:
- Multi-location hospitals and labs
- Multiple doctors and specialties
- International and medical tourism patients
- HIS, LIS, EMR systems
- CRM and marketing automation tools
- Payment gateways and third-party health platforms
6. Innovation & Future Roadmap
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for:
- AI-driven symptom triage and decision support
- Personalization and smart recommendations
- Automated reminders and follow-ups
- Conceptualize features for:
- Chronic care management
- Preventive health packages
- Memberships, loyalty programs, and subscriptions
- Continuously benchmark against leading hospital apps, diagnostic platforms, and digital health startups to maintain competitiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Healthcare Management, or related field.
- 4–8+ years of product management experience, preferably in healthcare, health-tech, SaaS, or consumer apps.
- Proven experience managing mobile apps (iOS & Android) and web platforms.
- Strong understanding of hospital workflows, diagnostics, or patient journeys (preferred).
