Position objective:
The Product Manager supports developing, launching, and managing products to ensure they meet
customer needs and business goals. This role involves conducting market research, coordinating with
cross-functional teams, assisting in product development, and analyzing performance metrics.
Key responsibilities areas-
- Drive product and business-planning processes with cross-functional teams (engineering,
production, marketing, sales) to develop, test (QA), and release products.
- Define and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap to acquire and retain
customers, partners, and suppliers.
- Help set product goals, roadmap items, and features that align with business objectives.
- Continuously assess competitor offerings to identify differentiation opportunities.
- Perform market research and gather user requirements to inform product decisions and go-to-
market strategies.
- Collect user needs, market trends, and technical details; translate them into detailed product
requirements and technical specifications.
- Create product strategy documents outlining business cases, high-level use cases, technical
requirements, revenue models, and ROI.
- Drive all stages of the product life cycle: research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning,
requirements definition, and roadmap development through product launch.
- Serve as the scrum master and product owner: define user stories, prioritize backlogs, and
collaborate closely with engineering to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines, ensuring all departments stay aligned
with product milestones.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to keep everyone informed, secure buy-in, and manage expectations
throughout the development process.
- Strategize, plan, and execute go-to-market efforts; run beta and pilot programs for new products
and features.
- Conduct regular reviews and make rapid decisions based on feedback and product performance
data.
- Embed rigorous data quality standards and leverage analytics to drive product decisions.
- Generate consumer insights through product testing and user feedback to continuously optimize
customer value and business impact.
- Build and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across performance, acquisition, retention, and
engagement.
- Analyze and report on product health, user behavior, and revenue impact, turning insights into
actionable strategies.
- Develop low-touch processes, self-serve solutions, and automation to streamline workflows and
reduce manual overhead.
- Continuously seek ways to improve product and operational efficiency.
- Leverage software and engineering knowledge to guide development teams, troubleshoot issues,
and ensure technical feasibility.
- Collaborate with engineering on architectural decisions, prototypes, and final development.
- Lead small teams and mentor junior members, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Champion a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement across product teams.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in software engineering.
- At least 1 year in a management or team lead role.
- Proven track record as a product owner.
- Experience with analytics, digital transformation, and implementations.
- Experience working with start-ups, demonstrating an entrepreneurial approach.
- Previous exposure to software and web development.
- Experience in products with multilingual (Hindi or other languages) capabilities is a plus.
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Knowledge of software development processes and agile methodologies.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical thinking.
