Our two brands, Shark, and Ninja, have enjoyed unprecedented growth in the past 5 years, driven mainly by the very strong innovation pipeline on both brands. Given this success in our existing markets, Shark Ninja has embarked on a bold plan for growing APAC business, in which India plays a critical role.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join our team. This role will be based in Bangalore.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you will get to do:
Product Localization and Development
- Assist with managing a rolling 12-24 month "pipeline" of qualified new products for designated product portfolio
- Manage the product assortment with Product Marketing Head in India across multiple categories and configurations.
- Work closely with the Brand Marketing Function and 3rd party vendors to design and implement POS and other marketing materials.
- Execute competitive benchmarking activities including detailed understanding of key competitor products, claims, and price points
- Work VERY closely with Product Development and Program Coordinators at US Boston HQ to ensure new products are on cost, on time, and with the right features & benefits for consumers and markets.
- Implement local product strategies in line with global product strategies to strengthen market position. Develop all on-box and in-box collateral within global guidance.
- Provide product guidance to the Sales and Marketing teams regarding product claims, demonstration development, channel choices, pricing, and after-sales service.
- Spearhead product launch in sales contribution across all SKUs for Shark and Ninja product categories.
- Oversee New Product Development (NPD) and NPD extension workshops.
- Assess NPD and commercial readiness, ensuring timely arrival of NPD per ETD
- Create critical key feature development to win against competitors
- Create compelling NPD demo for training purposes.
- Ensure timely commercial readiness before NPD arrival.
Market Trend
- Be involved and embedded in consumer insights and research studies to inform market opportunity with customers and consumers' trend and identify potential category
- Be able to timely and accurately research, monitor and analyze the dynamics of competitors, and propose corresponding countermeasures.
- Define and conduct market validation using customer insights
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Possesses a Master’s degree, and have a technical background or comparable experience.
- 10+ year experience with demonstrated ability to navigate and manage market complexities.
- Experience in consumer electronics, with a preference for Vacuum or Beauty in Home Care.
- Skilled in implementing new products with a focus on user experience and technical aspects.
- Strong project management and leadership abilities to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and develop robust plans.
- Analytical mindset for mining data and drawing insights.
- Versatile and adaptable, capable of handling ambiguous situations.
- Ability to manage several projects in parallel, navigating a complex cross-functional matrix organization.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Communications team to ensure consistent messaging, tone, and style.
- Willingness and ability to travel periodically (Singapore/Boston).
