Guest Ban is a hospitality SaaS company helping hotels keep guests, staff, and communities safer while speeding up front desk operations. Our platform combines ID scanning, a shared Do Not Rent network, and automated criminal and sex offender checks into a single workflow. We integrate directly with hotel PMS systems to reduce check-in time, chargebacks, and repeat problem guests, while improving operational efficiency and guest experience.

Role Overview

We’re expanding our platform and are looking for experienced Full Stack JavaScript Developers with strong Node.js expertise who can work remotely and independently. You will take ownership of building and scaling full web applications end-to-end in a fast-moving, product-driven environment. Your work will directly impact real hotel operations used daily across the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Node.js, Express or similar frameworks, and modern JavaScript or TypeScript
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services that integrate with internal systems, third-party APIs, and hotel PMS platforms
• Work with MongoDB for document-based data models and Microsoft SQL Server for relational and transactional data
• Design database schemas, write optimized queries, and manage data consistency across multiple storage systems
• Develop frontend applications using React, Next.js, Angular, or similar frameworks
• Collaborate with desktop and scanning components by integrating backend services with local or cloud-based applications
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications using cloud infrastructure (Azure or similar platforms)
• Use Git and GitHub for version control, pull requests, and collaborative code reviews
• Support CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments
• Debug production issues, improve performance, and build reliable, scalable solutions
• Collaborate closely with product, support, and founders to ship features that deliver immediate value to hotel partners

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong experience with Node.js and backend JavaScript or TypeScript
• Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures
• Experience working with MongoDB and Microsoft SQL Server in production environments
• Solid understanding of database design, indexing, performance optimization, and data integrity
• Frontend experience with React, Next.js, Angular, HTML, CSS, and modern UI frameworks
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure (App Services, Functions, Storage, or similar)
• Experience using Git and GitHub in a collaborative team environment
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup and manage your own workload
