What You’ll Achieve

As a Senior Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.

You will:

• Serve as the Principal Software Engineer for a team responsible for building and enhancing the Dell PowerStore Enterprise Storage product.
• Be responsible for aspects of planning, execution, and delivery of software components following an Agile development methodology.
• Develop in Java over Linux, using Vertx, RxJava, Microservices, and Docker containers.

Essential Requirements

• Deep expertise in modern Java development, including hands-on experience with Java 11, 17, and 21.
• 8+ years of proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale, high-performance server-side applications.
• Hands‑on experience working with PostgreSQL or another major RDBMS is essential.
• Highly self‑motivated and proactive with strong problem‑solving abilities.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience using GenAI coding assistants, RxJava, Vertx or other Reactor pattern-based frameworks (AKKA, etc), clustering, Microservices and Dockerized solutions. Experience with Python & working with multi team environment.
