Job Profile: Sr Associate Product Manager RuPay Core

Experience: 3 to 6 years of experience

Department: RuPay Product Team Core

Role Type: Full-time

Role Contour: Drive growth and efficiency for RuPay card transactions across E-commerce, POS, and Credit Card on UPI (CC@UPI) by enabling new features, enhancing payment flows, leveraging advanced technology, and improving overall acceptance across ecosystem partners.

Preferred Background

• 36 years of experience in payments, fintech, card networks, payment gateways, or bank product roles.
• Exposure to AI-enabled digital payment systems, tokenization, or risk/authorization optimization preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Transaction Growth & Strategy

• Ideate and implement initiatives to increase RuPay transaction volumes across E-commerce, POS, and digital channels.
• Analyze customer behavior, transaction patterns, and pain points to identify opportunities for product enhancement.

2. Digital Payments Expertise

• Deep understanding of digital payment flows, authorization cycles, settlement processes, and network fee structures.
• Monitor evolving industry trends and competitor initiatives to enrich RuPays product offerings.

3. Ecosystem & Partner Collaboration

• Work closely with banks, payment aggregators, gateways, acquirers, and service providers to drive acceptance and new feature enablement.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to extract insights and implement improvements.

4. Technology, AI & Advanced Innovation

• Collaborate with technology teams to build and implement innovative solutions for real-world payment challenges.

• Understand and evaluate the application of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and advanced technologies to improve RuPays transaction success and user experience.
• Explore opportunities to simplify payment flows, reduce friction, and optimize authorization success using data-driven intelligence.

5. Product & Experience Design

• Design comprehensive product flows integrating issuers, acquirers, PGs, PAs, and merchants.Improve customer journeys by working on new form factors for authentication, frictionless checkout experiences, and innovative UX enhancements.

6. Security, Tokenization & Compliance

• Develop and refine card tokenization flows to enhance security in card-not-present and card-present transactions.
• Work on EMV 3DS authentication journeys and identify opportunities to improve success rates while ensuring seamless user experience.

Good-to-Have

• Exposure to AI/ML techniques for payments use cases (fraud detection, risk optimization, spend prediction, SR improvement).
• Familiarity with model deployment and MLOps practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for AI model implementation.
• Understanding predictive analytics and data-driven optimization.
• Certifications in AI/ML or related technologies.
