Tech Program Manager & Senior Business Analyst

Role Summary: As a key member of the team, one will actively participate in every phase of the product development lifecycle and technical project execution from discovery to deployment and beyond that for managing the support and iterating for next stages of the product/project development. He/She will be the key person for technical signoffs on behalf of Sutherland’s Research and will be actively participating in RFP responses, proposal building and client presentation and demos. One will be the key person planning and executing the AI-ML integration and driving AI ML Programs for and within research. An ideal candidate will bring over 6-8 years of experience, preferably in the financial services sector, with a focus on Asset Management, Securities management, investment banking, and commercial lending.
Technical proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, R, or MATLAB, in addition to SQL, is highly desirable. You should also demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and excel in communication and stakeholder management.
Technology Program Management & Business Analysis
Technical Program Management
- Identify analyst, client, and market pain points; conceptualize products, technical initiatives, and automation opportunities.
- Drive technical R&D, technical strategy and manage the product/project pipeline end to end.
- Integrate AI/ML into workflows and products, including designing and deploying AI Agents / Agentic AI to improve efficiency and business outcomes.
- Evaluate ideas based on technical feasibility, scalability, and business impact.
Business Analysis
- Perform detailed scoping and requirement gathering on automation, technology projects and AI-led initiatives across asset classes such as Equity, Fixed Income, Structured Finance, and Leveraged Loans.
- Translate business requirements into user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
Client Development & GTM Support
- Support go-to-market (GTM) initiatives and collaborate with business development teams on client acquisition.
- Champion research and technology products for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Gather and interpret client requirements to shape technology-driven value propositions.
- Contribute to proposal development and account mining to drive revenue opportunities.
Product & Project Management
- Own the product roadmap, execution planning, stakeholder alignment, and security/compliance considerations.
- Ensure timely product development, deployment, and iteration in line with business expectations.
- Collaborate with delivery and sales teams on engagement models, GTM strategies, pricing, and monetization.
- Track project progress, manage milestones, and lead client engagement on key deliverables.
- Develop executive-level roadmaps and support product delivery from concept to launch.
Desired Experience & Skills
- 6–8 years in tech program/product delivery for data/AI products; financial services exposure (AM/IB/credit/ESG) preferred.
- Proven POC → production execution: acceptance criteria, runbooks, rollbacks, and stakeholder sign-offs.
- Hands-on with requirements (BRD/FRD/user stories), backlog grooming, and exec-ready roadmaps.
- AI/ML integration experience: scoping agentic use cases, defining eval gates (accuracy/latency/exception rate), and landing them in production.
- Comfortable with single-tenant/VDI/on-prem as well as cloud (AWS/Azure) deployments; understands constraints without changing client dashboards.
- Working knowledge of data/ETL orchestration (e.g., Prefect/Airflow), idempotent upserts, audit/exception queues, and data quality checks.
- Familiar with APIs & services: REST design/versioning, auth (JWT/OAuth2), and interface contracts between UI, services, and data layers.
- Awareness of packaging & deploy patterns (Docker, basic K8s/ECS/AKS concepts), environment config/secrets, health checks, and observability basics.
- Data governance & security pragmatism: 12-factor config, least-privilege access, PII handling, and auditability.
- Ability to translate analyst workflows into schemas, templates, and UI requirements; comfortable with Excel/Power BI/Tableau outputs.
- Strong client-facing communication: RFPs, proposals, pricing/monetization inputs, and executive presentations/demos.
- Vendor/partner coordination for OCR/SSO/SRE or labeling programs when thresholds justify external help.
- Technical fluency in SQL and one language (Python/R/MATLAB); able to read code, validate approaches, and guide trade-offs.
- Metrics-driven: tracks SLA/SLOs, burn-up, and delivery risks; communicates status crisply to leadership and clients.
