Technical Program Manager – Product & Technology

Position Summary
We are seeking two Technical Program Managers (TPM) to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that bridge Product, Engineering, Data, and Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for orchestrating the delivery of strategic products and technology programs, ensuring that they are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities.
You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Designers, and stakeholders to translate vision into actionable plans—while proactively identifying risks, managing dependencies, and driving transparency in execution.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Ownership & Execution
- Serve as the delivery owner across multiple engineering teams, ensuring commitments are met on time and with quality
- Drive sprint and release planning processes, ensuring clear, realistic commitments aligned to priorities
- Actively track progress against plans, identifying risks, slippage, and dependencies early
- Validate that delivered work meets defined scope and acceptance criteria before completion
- Support teams in breaking down work into actionable, well-defined units for predictable delivery
Program Execution & Operational Rigor
- Facilitate day-to-day execution engagement (standups, follow-ups, issue resolution) to maintain forward momentum
- Maintain high standards of Jira hygiene, including accurate status, clear acceptance criteria, and proper estimation
- Ensure alignment between product requirements and engineering execution, clarifying scope when needed
- Drive accountability for delivery commitments using influence, data, and transparency
Risk Management & Dependency Coordination
- Identify delivery risks early and implement mitigation strategies to de-risk execution
- Proactively unblock teams by coordinating across engineering, product, and stakeholders
- Ensure cross-team coordination for shared dependencies and integrated delivery outcomes
- Escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner, with recommended solutions
Metrics, Forecasting & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and analyze delivery performance metrics (velocity, throughput, cycle time, predictability)
- Assess and track team capacity to ensure commitments are realistic and sustainable
- Measure success based on teams consistently delivering on commitments and improving predictability over time
- Continuously improve delivery processes by identifying inefficiencies and implementing best practices
Stakeholder Communication & Transparency
- Act as the central point of coordination for delivery-related communication across stakeholders
- Provide clear, concise weekly status reporting with insights on progress, risks, and forecasted outcomes
- Translate execution status into meaningful business context for stakeholders and leadership
Planning & Program Cadence
- Drive quarterly planning processes in partnership with Product and Engineering
- Lead ongoing program health reviews to assess progress, risks, and delivery confidence
- Ensure Goals, Initiatives, and Objectives are consistently updated and aligned within Jira
Qualifications
Required
- 6-10+ years of experience in technical program management or large-scale project management, ideally within SaaS or technology-driven organizations.
- Strong understanding of agile and hybrid delivery models.
- Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-team programs on time and within scope.
- Ability to break down ambiguous problems into structured plans and deliverables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive reporting.
Preferred
- Background in software engineering, data engineering, or product management.
- Experience working with healthcare, EMS, fire, or public safety technology.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and project portfolio management software.
- PMP, CSM, or SAFe certification.
