Mextropic AI is an applied AI research lab founded by IIT Madras alumni and repeat founders (previous exit at $2.25M valuation). Our core team comes from Google, Microsoft, Oracle, and Zomato. We're building custom AI systems for India's leading enterprises across beauty & lifestyle, food-tech, fintech, and more.

Our clients are in India, the USA, and the GCC. The products we build? They're not prototypes. They're live, consumer-facing AI-first tools deployed at a massive scale.

We're hiring a UI/UX Designer (Figma) — and here's what we're really looking for:

You don't just design screens. You design experiences. Mobile-first is your default, not an afterthought. You've shipped real products, iOS, Android, web, that actual users interact with daily, not just Dribbble shots. You live in Figma. You think in components, design systems, and responsive patterns that work across screen sizes. 

And here's the non-negotiable part:

you're already using AI in your workflow. Midjourney for concept exploration. Galileo AI or Uizard for rapid prototyping. Relume or Framer AI for layout iteration. AI-powered Figma plugins to move 3x faster than traditional design.

We're not looking for someone who's "curious about AI." We need someone who's already building with it. Someone who sees AI as an extension of their craft, not a replacement for it.

What you'll be doing:

• Designing mobile apps (iOS + Android) and web interfaces for AI-powered products used by domain leaders
• Crafting intuitive, delightful experiences for complex AI features, making intelligence feel effortless
• Working directly with founders, engineers, and product teams in a fast-moving environment where your designs ship in weeks, not months
• Building and evolving design systems that scale across multiple products and platforms

What we're looking for:

• 1–2+ years of hands-on UI/UX experience
• Strong portfolio with shipped mobile and web products (not just concept work)
• Figma proficiency (this is where you spend your day)
• Active use of AI tools in your design workflow for at least 6 months
• Deep understanding of mobile UI patterns, accessibility, and designing for performance
• Ability to move fast, iterate quickly, and think in systems
