Role Overview
We are looking for a creative and experienced UI/UX Designer to join our team in Chennai. The primary focus of this role is to modernize legacy applications and transform them into intuitive, user friendly, and mobile responsive digital experiences. You will play a key role in enhancing usability, improving visual design standards, and ensuring seamless user journeys across web and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Redesign and modernize legacy applications with a clean, contemporary user interface.
- Create responsive and mobile friendly designs for web and cross platform applications.
- Conduct user research, analyze feedback, and identify usability improvement areas.
- Develop wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user flow diagrams.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and business teams to translate requirements into engaging design solutions.
- Ensure consistency in branding, design systems, and UI components.
- Improve overall user experience by simplifying workflows and enhancing accessibility.
- Conduct usability testing and iterate designs based on insights and feedback.
- Maintain design documentation and style guides for ongoing enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating modern web and mobile design projects.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, mobile-first principles, and usability standards.
- Experience working on legacy system modernization projects is preferred.
- Knowledge of front-end basics (HTML, CSS) is an added advantage.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
