Hyve is a fast-growing sportswear and activewear brand catering to corporates, institutions, schools, and D2C consumers. As part of Project Elevate, Hyve is building a scalable, high-performance Shopify-based D2C platform that delivers a premium yet functional experience across multiple sports categories and SKUs.
Role Overview
Hyve is looking for a full-time UI/UX Designer with strong Shopify experience to own and drive the end-to-end user experience of our D2C website. This role will play a critical role in website relaunch, CRO optimisation, and long-term product evolution.
You will work closely with Founders, Marketing, Tech, and Operations teams to translate business goals into intuitive, conversion-focused digital experiences.
Key ResponsibilitiesUI/UX & Design Ownership
- Own end-to-end UI/UX design for Hyve’s Shopify-based D2C website
- Design clean, modern, conversion-optimised interfaces aligned with a premium sportswear brand
- Create wireframes, user flows, UI mockups, and clickable prototypes (Figma preferred)
Shopify-Focused Design
- Design experiences native to Shopify architecture, including:
- Collection pages
- PDPs (multiple SKUs, variants, size charts)
- Cart & checkout optimisation
- Custom landing pages
- Work closely with Shopify developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation
CRO & Performance Optimisation
- Apply UX best practices to improve:
- Conversion rate
- AOV
- Bounce rate
- Mobile usability
- Continuously iterate designs using analytics, heatmaps, and user behaviour insights
User Journey & Information Architecture
- Map and optimise core user journeys across:
- Multiple sports categories
- B2C & bulk/B2B discovery flows
- Simplify navigation, filters, and discovery for large product catalogs
Collaboration & Execution
- Collaborate with:
- Marketing (campaign pages, launches)
- Content & Branding teams
- Tech & Ops teams
- Support new feature rollouts (subscriptions, bundles, customisation flows, etc.)
Required Skills & ExperienceMust-Have
- 3–6 years of UI/UX design experience
- Hands-on experience designing Shopify websites (D2C brands preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Figma
- Solid understanding of:
- E-commerce UX best practices
- Mobile-first design
- CRO principles
- Experience designing for multiple SKUs, variants, and category-heavy catalogs
Good to Have
- Experience with sportswear, fashion, or lifestyle brands
- Understanding of Shopify themes, limitations, and apps
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS (for smoother dev collaboration)
- Experience working with D2C brands at scale
